The Asia Advisory Council

The Asia Advisory Council was established in 2012 to provide advice and make recommendations to the Minister of International and Intergovernmental Relations on measures to expand existing economic, research, educational and cultural opportunities between Alberta and Asia.

The 10-member council is mandated to provide ongoing strategic advice on pursuing new market opportunities and supporting market entry for Alberta exporters as well as promoting Alberta as an attractive destination for international investment. The council also provides advice on facilitating improved communication and partnership among the Government of Alberta, industry, academia and cultural organizations.
