Minister Cal Dallas travelled to France, Switzerland and the United Kingdom to strengthen Alberta’s trade relationships with these key markets and to represent Alberta’s interests on a number of important issues, including the EU’s proposed Fuel Quality Directive.

Minister Dallas led a Canadian delegation to the World Petroleum Congress in Doha, Qatar, the world’s largest and most reputable oil and gas conference.

Premier Ed Stelmach travelled to New Delhi, India to speak at the Petrotech 2010 Conference and Exhibition and to promote Alberta as an environmentally responsible, global energy centre offering excellent opportunities for trade and investment. He was accompanied by MLAs Naresh Bhardwaj, Peter Sandhu and Manmeet Bhullar.

Premier Ed Stelmach, along with British Columbia Premier Gordon Campbell and Saskatchewan Premier Brad Wall, led a joint trade mission to China and Japan to promote trade and investment activities between Western Canada and Asia.
